Frequently Asked Questions

What is a community lead?

A community lead is a person who get the communities of travellers, musicians, poets, artists and locals of his/her city together through small intimate gatherings and other events.
What we are looking for in a Community lead. We want people who like people. To bring oneness in the community through art and conversations.

What should the lead be like?

Personality – The Community Lead (CL) should be a warm, friendly, good-vibe spreading person, who makes, even the first-timers to an event, comfortable. The CL should also be able to engage people in conversations and stories. Basically breaking the ice for people who are new to the community.

Finding a host

One of the most important responsibilities of a CL along with getting the community together is to keep them engaged in intimate gatherings across the city
Initially till the system kicks off the CL will have to find hosts(houses) that go perfectly with the Motojojo Gatherings. Also the CL could be the host(person) at the gatherings themselves or look for people from the community who would be interested in hosting the gatherings.

Finding artists and storytellers

The CL has to find 1 singer-songwriter, 1 poet and 2 story-tellers ( travel stories that inspire people to go out and travel) for every intimate Motojojo Gatherings.
Ofcourse, Motojojo will be mentoring, curating and guiding you through the first steps, but the goal at the end of the day is for the CL to be able to run the Motojojo Gatherings and that simply means being active within the community at all times.

What else will the Community Lead will have to do?

The CL would also have to think of ideas or activities that engages the community other than the MJ gatherings held. Anything that keeps the community well knit together
Eg. just an informal meeting at a coffee shop, or letting people just meet and collaborate.
