Location: Kaza, Spiti Valley
Day 1: Introduction to ice climbing gear, and frozen waterfalls. Practice gear handling along with climbing demos.
Day 2: Climb easy waterfalls on the top rope under the supervision of experienced instructors. Climax film festival screening in camp. Barbeque and camp games.
Day 3: Work on dexterity with gear and climbing full sport length ice pitches. Also, learn the dynamics of lead climbing. Back in camp, enjoy sumptuous meals with film festival screening, talks by adventurers, ending with camp games.
Day 4: We move to a new area today. Learn techniques such as ‘ablacov’ and get started with lead climbing techniques and practice. Back in camp, enjoy games, music jams, and adventure films.
Day 5: Practice lead climbing. Back in camp, enjoy games, music jams, and adventure films.
Day 6: Practice lead climbing. Break for camp early. Closing ceremony and party.
Required fitness level and climbing experience:
No prior expertise or even climbing experience is required. However, you’ll need to demonstrate basic physical fitness. For instance, you should be able to run 5 kms in a stretch. Do 20 pushups or 10 pull-ups in a set.
Points to be noted:
– Stay type: Homestay/Camp/Hotel (based on itinerary)
-Food: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner will be provided.
-Trip type: Backpacking
-Motojojo holds the right to cancel the trip due to unforeseen circumstances (eg. weather) or if the number of required pax is lesser than required, in which case, a full refund will be provided.
-An indemnity form will be provided at the start of the trip to be signed.
-Valid photo identity card (Passport / Driving License / Voter ID card) is mandatory.
-Room upgradation will not be entertained unless specified at the time of booking.
-75% of the payment to be done to register, and the rest to be done 1 day before the trip
